Anwar Elkamony announced the launch of the worldwide campaign “Hope Giver” from Switzerland at the Gala Night held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 3 October 2021.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Cary Adams, CEO of UICC, Minister Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in Switzerland, Mishaal Al-Mansour, Hussain Fadaei, Head of the Environment Department at the United Nations, Honorine Koenig, representing the French city of Les Mureaux, Claudia Alicia, founder of the Swiss Association N0-Difference, and Marilyn Alejos, human rights officer at The United Nations, Dr. Ahmed Bastawisi, an oncologist, a representative of Baheya Hospital, the charitable sponsor of the campaign, and Tawfiq Shalaby, director of the EgyptAir office, the official carrier of the campaign in Switzerland.
The opening speech was delivered by Sheikha/Azza Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Honorary President of the Hope Giver Campaign and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Al-Sidra Association for Psychological Care for Cancer Patients, and praised the role of the Hope Giver Campaign in giving hope to all patients around the world and challenging all the difficult pathological conditions that any human being goes through.
For his part, Anwar Elkamony stressed that the campaign aims to spread the spirit of optimism and not despair or surrender to any disease, and confidence in the ability of any patient to defy any difficulties provided that he believes in his ability to do so.
