Activities in Mexico 2022
Barbara Torres and her team of Hope Giver volunteers in Mexico gave captain Anwar Elkamony, the campaign’s founder, a warm welcome in August 2022.
He took part in a variety of planned events throughout his stay in various parts of Mexico, such as visiting orphanages to give out food and clothing, playing with children, and promoting the joy and hope through the streets of Mexico City. The team even went to rehab centers for both men and women who had various addictions to give them talks, hands-on activities to heal past traumas, meditation, and other experiences of self-care and self-love.
We would like to give a special recognition to Josué Castillo, Bárbara’s partner, who has been an active member of THGC in Mexico as volunteer since 2021 but starting 2023 he will be leading the campaign along with Barbara Torres, also as ambassador in Mexico. They have big plans for the campaign in the near future.
Highlights
The Hope Givers Mexico team received a special gift from Egyptian fashion designer Taha Zenty: one-of-a-kind personalized T-shirts featuring the team members’ names and pharaonic symbols.
