The activities of the conference were launched with a speech of Sheikha Azza Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, President of the Sidra Association for Psychological Care for Cancer Patients and Honorary President of the Global Hope Giver Campaign, representatives from the Kuwaiti embassy in Egypt, Baheya Foundation an Honorary Sponsor, Egyptair the Official Carrier of the campaign, Parkville pharmaceutical the official campaign sponsor, Dr. Zahi Hawass, former Minister of State for Egyptian Antiquities Affairs, Dr. Hossam Kamel, former President of Cairo University, and Professor Hematology at the Department of Oncology at the College of Medicine, former Vice Dean of the National Cancer Institute, singer Mai Abdel Aziz, actor Ahmed Shaker Abd El Latif, composer Sherif Elwessimy, Hayat Khattab President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, Orchestra Al-Noor and Al-Amal, Rahma Khaled the first TV host in the world with a special needs, Hadeel Maged a singer with a special needs, Dr. Fadia AbdelGawad the first deaf Egyptian female doctor in the world, Kevin Portmann Swiss professional tennis player, Mourad Daoudi Founder of ART Daoudi gallery in Switzerland. The conference ended with honoring and handing over shields to all volunteers to support the “Hope Giver” campaign.
