Official Campaign Start in Geneva, Switzerland
Geneva is home to the European seat of the United Nations, as well as the international headquarters of the Red Cross and more than 200 international organisations. As a result, the city is often described as the “Peace Capital.”
"Hope Giver" Gala Night at the Hotel du Parc des Eaux-Vives
Anwar Elkamony announced the launch of the worldwide campaign “Hope Giver” from Switzerland at the Gala Night held at the Hotel du Parc des Eaux-Vives with the attendance of VIP’s and international organizations.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Cary Adams, CEO of UICC, Minister Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in Switzerland, Mishaal Al-Mansour, Hossein Fadaei, Head of the Environment Department at the United Nations, Honorine Koenig, representing the French city of Les Mureaux, Marc Portmann, director of the bank in Switzerland and his spouse Gabriella Rastello Portmann, professional tennis players Kevin Portmann and Roberto Rosales, Mourad Daoudi, Founder of ART DAOUDI gallery in Switzerland and his spouse Cindy Perrier, famed watchmaker Christophe Claret and his wife Yulia Claret, Claudio Alessi, founder of the Swiss Association No-Difference, Marilyn Alejos, human rights officer at The United Nations, Kimka, songwriter, composer, and singer with special needs, a representative of Baheya Hospital Dr. Ahmed Bastawisi Professor of Oncology, Cairo University, Tawfiq Shalaby, director of the EgyptAir office, the official carrier of the campaign in Switzerland, Aymara Jewelry, Gahlan Jewelry.
The opening speech was delivered by Sheikha/Azza Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah Founder and Chairperson of Al Sidra Association for the Psychological Care of Cancer Patients – Kuwait & the first Honorary President of the Hope Giver Campaign:

For his part, Anwar Elkamony CEO & Founder of THGC stressed that the campaign aims to spread the spirit of optimism and not despair or surrender to any disease, and confidence in the ability of any patient to defy any difficulties:
“Our campaign spreads hope by organizing lots of events to help people to forget the hard times they are going through. It’s very important for them to know, that there is hope and that tomorrow will be better. And that present is just a situation that will pass.” – Anwar Elkamony
Dr. Ahmed Bastawisi a representative from Baheya Foundation and Professor of Oncology, Cairo University, mentioned in his speech to the audience:
“The goal of the establishment of Baheya is to have a specific place where women can receive the treatment of breast cancer absolutely for free. And in around six years and a half Baheya Foundation could help more than 169,000 women.” – Dr. Ahmed Bastawisi
Claudio Alessi co-founder of Swiss association No-difference delivered his speech to the audience. Founded in 2003, No Difference opens up new possibilities to people who are not handicapped, but “handi-capable”. Under the slogan “no limits”, it fights for the dynamic integration of people with all kinds of disabilities. The ceremony ended with a magnificent performance of Kimka. Facing the challenge of hereditary muscular atrophy, she carries a message of hope and is dedicated to breaking down barriers between those living with and without a “handicap”.
